Enemy Propaganda Is Permitted While Counter Words Are Investigated

By Michael John McCrae
Dec. 28, 2005

The latest investigations into American war fighting involve condemnations of the American Military for wanting to have truthful stories of American accomplishments told accurately and without leftist, angular, and defeatist spin.

Al-Jazeera is permitted to spin and spew about occupation, American tyranny and torture, even in the American media. Stories that counter such spin are called “propaganda” because the stories do not contain enough anti-Americanism.

Congress is called to investigate the Pentagon for “planting” stories in the Iraqi press that may be favorable to American soldiers. It doesn’t matter that the stories are true. The cry is for “balance” because America cannot possibly be good nor do any good. All stories must show America to be bad.

The U.S. Military did help Iraq develop the “Baghdad Press Club”. The military helped fund and promote good events with accurate reporting to counter all the negative press and propaganda of the insurgency.

One quote from one of three recent articles says it all: “The military says it may change a controversial information campaign…The remarks came after days of reports and criticism that the military was covertly planting stories in the Iraqi media that, while factual, gave a slanted, positive view of conditions in Iraq.”

So unless we can get some negative “slant” into these stories they are wrong and not to be trusted.

The fact that enemy propaganda is permitted while counter words are investigated; that the Pentagon must defend itself against American investigations instead of Communists and Islamists might be an indication of the lengths at which Political Correctness is keeping us from winning any enemy heart or mind.

Go ahead and keep reading the mainstream media balance that places 8 anti-American articles in the public view to ever one pro-America item. (Media Watch)

Then tell me again all your great ideas towards appeasement of those who only wish to see America destroyed.
