Sept. 29, 2005 I can honestly say that I know what it feels like to know that your daddy loves you above all else. My mom let me and my sister when we were little. My dad raised me and my sister. Me and my dad are best friends and really close until this very day. I just met him and ate lunch with him today. My daddy showed me what a parent should be like. He is a very good man, un-lucky in love. He and my mother were married for 15 years, when she left. He married my ex-step mother and they were married for 12 years and she left him for another man. It is strange to me how some women have good men and just don’t appreciate them and they leave and go for the scum bags that will treat them like dirt. I always said growing up, if I could find a man that would treat me like my daddy treats others, then I will be a lucky woman. Well, my first husband was, well lets say he just wasn’t that great. I remarried last year on June 19, 2004, and my husband now treats me the way that a woman should be treated and I finally have the family that I have always wanted. He accepted my two boys as his own, as he has never had children, I am pregnant with our first child and life is good. I just wish that my daddy could find that right person. My daddy is a major part of my life and always will be. I know that there are men, including my ex-husband, that do not take care of their children. I want them all to take a listen and they could learn a lot from my daddy. He was there for me through thick and thin and still is….he is what a daddy should be. I just wish there were more men like him in the world. I just felt that I needed to share this with all of you. ------------ About the author: Dawn Carr of Mobile Alabama….aspiring author.
