Sept. 29, 2005 The unitive sense of a Yogi or Avadhoota is what I sense when I am in the unitive state. Where I am in the unitive state I'm not conscious of being a separate person. Our language makes it difficult to talk about this I and when a person feels IT most strongly he or she isn't thinking in words, writing in words, talking, or paying attention to other person's wordiness. Yoga is a legitimate practice in the Hindu culture. In a culture of Avadhootas, we are ONE. Hindu culture and Western culture developed quite different customs and wordy languages, but mathematics and body language are common to all modern civilizations. When I am I, I show people how the grace of a speechless non-person in union (yoga) expresses mathematical figures in tune with the cosmos or physical world. These are the languages of Avadhootas, Yogis, and non-persons called autistics because their language is more physical and mathematical and less verbal. Some autistics do not speak with their mouths much at all. More than just their mouths, their whole bodies speak. In the West such persons are pitied and/or shunned. My own speech communications are mostly in writing. In my writing you read an introduction to my studies of the union mystics feel most when they have "no mind" and "no speech." Protected by his/her students or devotees, the Avadhoota is safe from fanatical debaters and other fanatics. People still don't understand all the GRACE and all the JOY that is possible! It's important for Western authorities, that is scientists, teachers, psychologists, etcetera, to study this subject of union and unity because union brings pleasure just in being in existence. The Yogi is happy in existence and needs little more. The Yogi will work without complaint and without expecting more and more. But in the West and in the Westernized nations the individual workers are frantic consumers and they keep wanting more and more and more. Indeed the world is being consumed by men and women who will never be fully satisfied. Into this Age of rage and sickness the Avadhoota comes. And now. What about the Prophet Jesus? Jesus went up upon a mountain, and a great crowd followed Him. Jesus looked at His followers and spoke, saying among other things, "Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted." The Avadhoota shows us how. "Sri Swamiji is traveling the world to help seekers discover that everything is God. In Him devotees find compassion, love and divine wisdom as He guides them on the path of Yoga sadhana - to discover and realize their true Self. Sri Swamiji conveys an important part of His message through His music, being noted for His namasankirtan. Sri Swamiji's music is devotional and used for spiritual energy transmission. This great master sings self-composed bhajans in Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and English and plays ayurvedic healing ragas on an electronic synthesizer, accompanied by musicians on classical Indian instruments. Devotees around the world claim to have received immense benefit through his concerts, everything from physical healing to spiritual guidance, and great outpourings of divine love." ------------ About the author: John L.
