Sept. 29, 2005 As you all know by now, I feel a great deal of sympathy and concern for the Holloway/Twitty family and I am deeply saddened by the loss of their child. I have made that very clear with each and every article that I have written here. Now it's time to give Beth some unsolicited advice because I DO care. She says that she plans to go to Holland and put up missing posters of Natalee at Joran's University. That would be a mistake. Let me explain why. No matter how it happened, and I have NO doubt that it happened due to incompetence and corruption on the part of the Aruban and Dutch officials, there is no hard evidence to substantiate Joran and the Kalpoe brother's guilt. There is obviously some evidence based on their own words that they may have sexually assaulted Natalee when she could not consent but that doesn't seem to be a crime under Dutch law. What will happen to Beth is that she will not only garner a huge amount of hostility in Holland if she goes through with her plans but she may open herself up to be sued for harassment or even stalking. I don't know Dutch law but I do know that you can't follow people around where they live, work or go to school without causing yourself a world of hurt. Natalee didn't disappear in Holland so what Beth is doing will be obvious and it will be seen as harassment of Joran. Why give Joran ammunition to make Beth into an even bigger victim than she already is. Beth will accomplish nothing if she goes through with her plan. I would advise Beth to do something that I'm not sure that I could do myself...be patient. Joran has a need to make himself look like a hero and an innocent victim. This need will force him to talk about Natalee and explain himself. Eventually he will say too much or say something incriminating to someone who will have the conscience to report it. I know it's hard to tell the mother of a missing child to be patient but that's all she can do at this point. Plastering posters at Joran's school will get Beth in trouble and that won't accomplish any of her goals and it won't get her any answers. No one at that school besides Joran ever met Natalee and it is doubtful that she is in Holland so what Beth will be doing is transparent. I don't know what she can do at this point because it appears that Aruba is at a stalemate in this case no matter how often they claim that they are actively investigating this case. I don't believe that they are doing anything of the kind and are hoping that it will fade from the public memory and simply go away. I can only advise Beth to wait .I wish that I could suggest something more proactive that would be productive but I can't. I don't want to see Beth Twitty vilified anymore than she already has been. Don't go to Holland Beth...you will not be welcome there and you will do yourself and Natalee no good. You may do yourself a great deal of harm. ------------ About the author: Meri Ulrich is from Sun City, AZ. https://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.asp?bookid=27335 Email: writers2@cox.net Tell a friend about this site! ------------ All articles are EXCLUSIVE to Useless-Knowledge.com.
