Sept. 28, 2005 Hira Ratan Manekji comes out of India, teaching the Good News Light Gospel of solar healing and world peace. Many people call him HRM for short. HRM teaches people a way to look at the sun without fear, and how he learned to absorb light directly from the sun without his eyes being harmed. HRM's website gives a brief introduction of this amazing pioneer, saying, "Hira Ratan Manek was born on 12th of September 1937 in Bodhavad, India, was raised in Calicut, Kerala, India, where he had his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Kerala. After graduation, he joined the family business, which was shipping and spice trading, and continued working there until he retired in 1992." More.. HRM himself has lived for over four hundred days under the supervision of professional medical doctors, and eating little or no food. Other yogis reportedly have lived for a much longer time without eating food. Needing so very little food, the Yogi is satisfied with very little. This helps other persons feel satisfied with less and less consumption and waste. Joy increases one's sense of blessedness, and reduces one's need to exploit, hoard, consume, and waste. HRM uses solar energy to reduce his desires and stay healthy without consuming even half as much as many other people require to feel satisfied. HRM is an example of human pleasure illuminated in action. There are skeptics and naysayers, and certainly HRM is not perfect. Perfection is a myth created by greedy men and women who strive to have perfection even though they can't ever attain it. HRM doesn't want perfection, nor does he claim to be perfect. He has simply lived without food and prepared a simple teaching for people who are seriously concerned about living more lightly on the land and living in peace. And now. What about the Prophet Jesus? Jesus went up upon a mountain, and a great crowd followed Him. Jesus looked at His followers and spoke, saying among other things, "Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted." And "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the land." Hira Ratan Manekji helps show us how. "After HRM retired, he began to research and study the ancient practice of sun gazing in which he had been interested in since his childhood. This method was an old but forgotten method, which had been practiced, in the ancient times in many different parts of the world." "After working on this method for 3 years, HRM was able to re-discover the secrets of sun gazing. During his study, he was mainly inspired from the teachings of Lord Mahavir of Jains, who was also practicing this method two thousand and six hundred years ago.
