Sept. 27, 2005 It's 1943, and out in the late summer garden a small boy sees dahlias and zinnias blazing bright flames like Roman Candles. The young man is drawn to the spectacle because all the while this burning perception stimulates his eyes so much. His eyes are burning bright like the eyes of the mystic Tyger in William Blake's famous mystic poem. The boy does not see with his eyes the way other boys see with their eyes, because this mystical sense so dominates his vision. In fact, the mystical sense incapacitates this boy in certain ways. Because the boy doesn't see normally with his eyes, he steps over to a plant and reaches out and fingers a bright blossom. His hands tell him about the texture of the petals. Organic chemicals smear his fingers and they become fragrant. The boy also fingers leaves and stems. His fingers work like eyes. He sees through his hands. Saying this another way, the boy is handicapped in eyesight and brain functioning because he has this continuous mystical vision. Using this persistent mystical vision the boy sees through his hands and projects the mystical energy through his hands. In the olden times people would have said this child is a born "healer." In these modern times, however, most people don't believe there is anything real in the mystical energy and in the hands of a mystical "healer." In these modern times most people get educated at a college or university and they buy herbs or other medicines to use in healing themselves and others. Healing for them is entirely physical, and the doctor has a respected certificate that makes him a genuine certified professional you can trust. Today the handicapped man who was that handicapped boy waits for the local bus and starts fingering the blossom spikes of sweet alyssum. He squeezes the tiny blossoms and dimly sees the tiny white petals and the small green pistil in each flower. He remembers the splendors of his mystical childhood. The bus is quite late and so he has quite a lot of time on his hands. But mainly he thinks by manipulating a keyboard. He doesn't think without using his hands. So he stands there humming the same little tune over and over and over and over and over. Dammm! What a WASTE of healing time! The man remembers how often in school he would be lost in writing without paying any attention to the clock or to other people. In a mystic trance the young man would draw, write, and do math. People said he was "autistic," lost in his own world. People...not even scientists... never paid any attention to healing hands. The problem was and still is, that a child who has talking hands and healing hands may never learn to use a keyboard. In fact writing on a keyboard is quite a recent innovation. For thousands of years there were mystics and healers whose hands worked wonders, but mainly the wonders they worked were not publishable, because the wonders they wrought were not writings at all, or because the writings were regarded as terribly heretical and damnable. Today the major blocks against healing science remain The Church and The University, where the sacred old ideas of the old revered masters linger on and on and on and on and on and on and on. Meanwhile quality conventional medical help becomes less and less easy for most poor people to ever obtain. Only God can bring the needed change. ------------ About the author: John L.
