Mark Dayton Vs. John Roberts: Illegal Amigos

By Dennis L. Siluk
Sept. 26, 2005

Mark Dayton termed the words: Illegal Amigos, back to John Roberts (which Roberts termed a while back in a statement), saying he could not vote for him because he didn’t agree outright on the abortion issue, as if he was suppose to give a solid “I’m for abortion,” when we all know he is not. Plus, he said he is still waiting for Roberts to apologize for his slang term: ‘Illegal Amigos,’ which I find, a little English with Spanish, fit’s well. What Roberts was trying to say, and my Senator, from Minnesota seems to object to, Mr. Dayton, from Dayton’s Department store, now sold to another mega-millionaire, was that you cannot demand rights when you are not an American, and are illegally here: there is a process for citizenship, according to the law, which Dayton forgets. It took my wife five years, a test, $425. Dollars and a few other items to get her citizenship [Peruvian]; and evidently Dayton feels, we should bend for the Mexicans. South America is just as poor as Mexico and we do not bend for them. If we’re going to throw away the laws, let’s open it up for Peru, which would be my protest. We have for Cuba and every other Asian Country on the globe: we’ve forgotten our South American neighbors, not Mexico; they are always on the American payroll, and doorsteps, somehow. When I’m in Mexico, and I like Mexico, I do as the law says, I do not try to bend it, nor cry for my rights; and I think Roberts’s message is just that.
