Sept. 24, 2005 When election results were in limbo, I kept a black candle going in a milk carton on the front porch. My Republican neighbor was madder than a wet hen, telling me that I was putting a hex on our future President. No I would not do that to Dubya. It's just my political statement. I already knew that he would be elected and he was. I actually have more respect for Dubya than I did for Willie. When Dubya was confronted his partaking of recreational drugs in his youth, his reply was "It's none of your business!" He was confronted with being charged with a DUI which he admitted. His Vice President told us, "I got two DUI ." It didn't stop the conservatives from voting them into office and the liberal don't give a rip. Most Liberal certainly don't care about Slick Willie's ill-gotten sensual gratification. But it takes a real dufus to stand in front of congress and declare, "Ah didn't have sex with that woman." If he had said, "None of your business, I plead the fifth, or even I had sex with that woman and your point is………. Maybe, Kenneth Starr would not have spent millions of tax dollars to find out that Slick Willie needed a cigar to finish the job. Also, did he think he could convince Conservatives that he didn't inhale. Most liberal would know better. As a Liberal, I don't care about the Presidential DNA on the blue dress, but did he really have to lie about it. What a moronic way to act. So what is a liberal and how does a conservative think? I talked to two elderly ladies who were working in the Kerry Campaign. They were telling me about being kicked out of a church luncheon because they supported Kerry therefore they supported abortions. Afterwards we were discussing choice versus actually getting abortions. The abortion pill, Mifepristone (RU-486 or Mifeprex) is for non-surgical abortions for pregnancies up to 9 weeks. We don't want our sisters butchered in back alley abortion clinics. The pill is safe but Partial Birth Abortions in late pregnancies is barbaric. It's dangerous for the mother and fatal for the child. None of us cried when Bush pushed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban through Congress. Afterwards, we started discussing the ACLU. Do they really protect the liberties that are really important. I see blatant civil liberty violations in the West Virginia workplace but the ACLU won't lift a finger to help in that area. They want to spend top dollars keeping the ten commandments out of the courthouses. It's good to have the ten commandments in a place of justice. It reminds the lawyers, judges and politicians that they should not cheat, lie, steal, bear false witness against others. These constant reminders might create a hostile environment for some of the crooked officials so maybe the ACLU is doing them a favor. The ACLU sued the City of Los Angeles because the City Seal had three Father Serra Crosses on it.. Maybe the ACLU will declare all the California Missions unconstitutional. Personally, I think the ACLU is a joke and they won't get my money until they start working on some real issues. There was a small town in Missouri. The City Sign had picture of a fish on it. The ACLU filed action to get the fish removed. They should read history books. The fish used to be a symbol on brothels in Roman times. The fish was associated with an aroma sometimes associated with women in the world's oldest profession. I suppose that could be a religious symbol for some. Nevertheless, I learned to bite my tongue when attending Church, especially when they started talking about Gay Marriages. If two persons of the same gender made to love and honor each other in front of God, it valid in the eyes of God as far as I am concerned. Government Sanctioned marriage is all about money. Nevertheless, I keep my opinions to myself in church, it would be humiliating to get kicked out of church for being a liberal. Luckily, I don't go to church too often. When 9/11 happened, I realized that Bush had more serious problems to deal with than the status of Gay Marriage. I still have mixed feelings about the war but somebody needed a butt whooping. We can't passively accept that kind of attack on our nation. Hurricane Katrina is a major disaster on a national scale that has not been seen in a long time. This man has more serious homeland disasters to deal with than any other President that has been around in my lifetime. Conservative or otherwise, the man needs support not bashing. Anyone who wants to beat up on his mother should be ashamed of themselves.
