What Do Ann Coulter And Dianne Fienstein Have In Common?

By Craig Chamberlain
Sept. 22, 2005

Apparently neither one of them want John Roberts on the Supreme Court. Well it's no surprise really, the senior senator from California, Dianne Fienstein, would probably only support someone who came to the confirmation wearing a Che t-shirt and carrying a copy of the communist manifesto, while Coulter-who is right on so many things- wouldn't nominate someone to the court unless it sparked suicide bombings among democrats.

Ann Coulter seems to believe that the fact that Roberts isn't being dragged through the mud like Clarence Thomas is proof positive that Roberts is a closet Gionsburg just waiting for his confirmation to come out. I suppose anything is possible, but I wouldn't bet money on it. Thomas was opposed because he is a black republican and the democrats controlled the Senate. Truth is that most democrats don't want Roberts on the court, they are just saving their firepower for the next nominee. Unless Bush nominates Barbara Boxer, or someone who thinks just like her, the next nominee is going to have a rough time. That's what the left wants, they think they can scare the President into nominating a Kennedy or an O'Connor. That's wishful thinking.

Ann asks WWRD? (What would Reagan Do) in my opinion he was the thrid greatest president in history, behind Lincoln and Washington, but that didn't stop the great communicator from putting both O'Connor and Kennedy on the court.

Speaking of wishful thinking(I know I'm switching topics here), Dick Morris seems to believe that Hillary might not win reelection in 2006. Apparently Janet Pirro can beat her. Pirro is pro abortion, pro- immigration, pro- gay marriage, so in short she is a republican Hillary. So why switch? New Yorkers already have one of those in the Senate. Hillay will most likely find a way to win, and then run for President in 2008.

Maybe she'll lose, but then that might be wishful thinking on my part.
