About Those Bite Sized Snacks

Has anyone else noticed that the same snacks you consumed perhaps a couple years ago are now coming in smaller packages? Now you have smaller soda cans, like the ones you glance at on your way to purchasing the regular sized sodas, you know the twelve ounce cans. But the size thing does not end with the sodas.

Now there are cookie, and chocolate clusters too, and even bite sized ice cream clusters as well. Maybe some companies are enabling others to practise moderation by using this formula, who knows.

And just perhaps, there could be individuals among us who have a difficult time trying to stop consuming certain products when they are already full. And if these bite sized snacks will aid those in this area, then it’s a good marketing tool. And one that no doubt works pretty well.

As for the persons in our midst who have no problems when it comes to consuming bits of food or snacks in moderation, good for you.

On a personal note, I eat when I’m hungry, stop when I’m full, drink (water, soda or juice) when I’m thirsty and cease that activity when my thirst has been quenched so snacking is not one of my past times, of course every now and again I reach for the ice cream or bit of cake, and even that can be a rare moment.

Of course when you have grown up on a tropical island (like I have) surrounded by an abundance of an assortment of fresh fruits, it can be difficult to think of snacking on anything else after gorging yourself on those fruits, bite sized or regular sized.
