Sept. 17, 2005 I have been a contributor to Useless Knowledge for one year, in that time I have developed a correspondence with a few of my fellow columnists. Their advice, support and sometimes constructive criticism has been invaluable. I have a few favorite columnists, like Stan Grimes, Thomas Keyes, Brooks A. Mick, M.D., Judy Ramsook and Jack Lepiarz, that I read on a regular basis. It may come as a surprise to many that this cynical and controversial columnist enjoys the positive life-affirming essays of Ms. Ramsook, but even curmudgeons have feelings. I consider "Useless Knowledge" a family, and like any family, there are one or two dysfunctional members, who criticize their fellow writers in a desperate bid for attention. I'm too busy addressing the important news of the day, to waste any bandwidth replying to the idiotic assertions of these malcontents. Useless Knowledge articles' are syndicated by Google News, this allows our family of writers to influence public opinion. Thank goodness for the Internet, it has leveled the playing field. I would like to thank our fearless leader, Mr. Editor, for maintaining this Web site, and allowing all of us a forum to express our views. I have written over 200 essays for UK, some of them a waste of bandwidth, but a few have touched hearts. I treasure the e-mails that I have received extending thanks and appreciation for my humble efforts.
