Sept. 16, 2005 One of the reasons some of us may have been tuning in to Rock Star Inxs is because maybe we wanted to see if an all male band of the past twenty five years or so would take on a female lead singer as opposed to keeping it all male, like it has been for the Australian band, Inxs. For a string of female singers had been trying out for the role as well, and it did not surprise me when the last of those female singers, Suzie McNeil was eliminated on last Wednesday evening’s episode. But before the elimination of that particular performer, I thought how interesting it would have been had she been in the finals. Like maybe fans of the rock band might have been thinking how she would fit in to the group in the way of live concert performances and hearing Inxs’ first cd with a female lead singer at the helm. But with the elimination of Suzie McNeil, some of us who were watching with anticipation of one of the other singers’ removal instead, must have thought, well no surprise there. And not taking anything away from those last three male performers left, for they are talented as well and one can only wish them well in their future endeavours. On a personal note, while Marty, MIG, and J.D. are all great performers, my pick for the position as new lead singer for Inxs would be J.D.
