People From Devastated New Orleans Should Stay Focused

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal- Hannah More- English author and social reformer 1745-1833. Coud this be one of the ultimate secrets to living a constantly successful life? Keeping your focus on the goal at all times?

If that’s the case, then are some among us subconsciously inserting obstacles in your minds that temporarily block your paths of success? For since the mind is such a powerful force, how can you stay focused if things that are out of your control keep happening.

For example, take weather related incidents such as the storm that devastated New Orleans, parts of Mississippi and Alabama. Or say you are going about the business of your day when an out of control vehicle bumps your car from behind. Does that mean that you were inadvertently holding like Ms. More stated, ‘frightful things’ in your mind.

Or are some people just over stressed with other things to cope with in their own lives, that staying focused on whatever goal they are trying to achieve may not be such a simple task as it sounds.

For just when you think you have taken care of one problem, here comes another. Maybe that’s why there is such a thing as vacation. That time you have put aside so you can clear your head and move along after spending time with yourself, your thoughts and have had a chance to get away from all the static in your mind.

For it’s that well hidden static that could be preventing you from staying focused.

So next time that vacation time comes your way, take some time to enjoy being you; look at a movie, listen to some music, read a book or whatever it is you feel comfortable doing to clear your mind of the clutter that dwells within. Then return to your life and maintain focus on the goal or whatever it is you are trying to achieve.
