Sept. 7, 2005 Paranormalist, the invisible hand is guiding you as you dream. The invisible hand is guiding me as I write. Whether you think of yourself as a paranormalist or not, when you lie down and go to sleep, you give up your self-conscious ego, and your will to achieve. You let the invisible hand be a lamp unto your feet. No matter how sternly rational and strictly physical you are when you are awake, no matter how much you intimidate others and dominate your social group, when you give up on all that, you are trusting in another power, the power of rejuvenation and healing. Indeed, a human being can't live very long without sleeping. You need to sleep in order to survive. Your need to survive itself COMMANDS you to rest, relax, and let the invisible hand guide you during the long hours of quietude. In all certainty you need to trust in your invisible hand as much as you trust in breathing your fresh air, in eating your food, and drinking your precious water. In a dream or in a divine vision this invisible hand presents itself to you. These dreams and visions are as vitally important to you as the air you breathe, the food you eat, and the water you drink. Welcome them. Cherish them. Don't give up on them. In fact, when you have a paranormal experience it is because you are opened up to what happens in dreams and visions. As a paranormalist you are sleeping while awake and you are awake while you are sleeping. A scientist would speak more of brain waves, and less of metaphors. Don't fear science. Let more paranormalist scientists study the paranormal. Don't be afraid of yourself, and don't be afraid to share your experiences that help other people recognize the truth. If superskeptical scientistic investigators block the paranormal, they can't do paranomral science any more than blind people can look through a telescope and see the satellites of Jupiter and Saturn. Don't let fear block you. Don't let the skeptics get you down. Keep resisting the bullies in denial. Let yourself be moved by the invisible hand. Remember despite all the naysayers, the dream of flight was eventually realized. ------------ About the author: John L.
