Sept. 1, 2005 After FOX News fired Greta Van Susteren because her determination to host her show naked until Natalee Holloway's murderer turned himself in was driving away viewers in droves, she was quickly hired by MSNBC. Greta's new MSNBC show is entitled "In the Buff with Greta", the intrepid reporter will cover the myriad aspects of the Natalee Holloway disappearance. On her premiere show Greta held a telethon to raise money for the search for Natalee Holloway. She raised a total of $100, but $50 of that amount was sent in by a gentleman who earmarked his donation "so that Greta can buy herself some drawers." Greta has actually improved MSNBC's ratings, the ratings for her time period are now better than "The Bowling Channel" and the "Watching the Grass Grow Network." On her second show, Jug Twitty, Natalee Holloway's stepfather, showed up drunk on moonshine, and made an awkward pass at Greta. Beth Holloway Twitty forgave her husband's indiscretion because, "he is suffering from spotlight deprivation syndrome, now that Greta's program is seen by hundreds instead of millions." The honchos at MSNBC predict a long and successful run for Greta's new venture: "The naked truth may not be pretty, it's certainly not in Greta's case, but her willingness to expose herself for Truth, Justice, the American way and ratings, bodes well for our industry." ------------ About the author: Robert Paul Reyes has written over 100 articles for Useless-Knowledge.com.
