 By Argile Stox Oct. 29, 2005 Ah, isn’t it sweet? The Vice Presidents’ key man has fallen on his sword and resigned. Now that Mr. Libby has been thrown to the Media wolfs for dinner, things will go back to normal and President Bush can begin to restart his second term. The Bush Administration can now fully focus on the Iraq War, hurricane victims still living in shelters, placing a new Supreme Court nominee’s name up for scrutiny, and place new focus on the needs of the American people. All is quiet on the western front. I must have dozed off for a few minutes. That was a nice utopian dream; however, let’s get back to reality. Support of the Iraq War is ebbing in all political circles as more warriors are losing their lives – surpassing the two thousand mark. Individuals who have lost everything in the aftermath of the hurricanes are still lingering in shelters. Renters that have returned to their trashed apartments are being evicted so that the landlords can raze the structures to make way for expensive new housing. Mobile homes requisitioned by FEMA to house the displaced, sit vacant. Individuals who have been living in FEMA supplied Mobile homes face eviction. As winter approaches, the newly and chronically homeless will seek shelter in State & Federally funded facilities that are already bursting at the seams. The next Supreme Court nominee credentials’ will include walking on water and sainthood. The vetting process will dissect the nominee’s life from conception to the present. The far right wing of the Conservative Movement will demand that the individual undergo a brain fingerprint test (an individuals’ head is encapsulated with a electrode harness, pictures are flashed on a computer screen, the results are captured then analyzed), and that the individual must have a blood test to determine if ultra-conservatism runs through their veins. As the populace scrounges for money to fill up their gas tanks, oil companies will celebrate and distribute bonuses to their CEO’s at Christmas as a reward for windfall profits. The elderly and poor will start filling out forms to get assistance from their State governments to cope with the rising price of gas and oil to heat their homes. Due to the failure of President Bush’s pet unfunded project – the No Child Left Behind Act, teachers across the nation will live in fear that they will be fired and their schools will be taken over by the Federal Government - when their institutions of learning are on the “School Improvement” lists for an extended period of time. Disabled Veterans and those returning from the War in Iraq will wait months to be seen by a doctor and have tests as an outpatient, due to under funding of the Veterans Administration. The Veterans Hospitals will still rely on mobile MRI units to service their patients instead of having a machine installed. The Veterans Hospital will still hire semi-retired doctors who work part-time, to service patients. The complicated Medicare drug plan will confuse the elderly and they will still have to choose between food and medications. The Food Stamp program will see a decrease in funding, and more families whose wage earners receive minimum wage salaries - will go hungry. There will be a tax hike looming in the near future. The United States Treasury can not sustain the increasing deficit caused by the War in Iraq and the expenditures caused by the hurricanes. The Stock Market will begin a steep decline as more companies fail to reach their projected sales and profits, and the usual layoff notices will resume as the holiday season approaches. If Mr. Libby elects to decline a negotiated plea agreement and goes to trial, the Vice President will be implicated and will submit his resignation (duplicating the events that led to Nixon’s resignation), and President Bush’s inner circle of political appointee’s will be submitting their resignations in mass numbers. I predict that the entire Bush Administration will be gutted by next summer, if Mr. Libby chooses to stand trial. The talking heads who frequent network and cable news shows are increasingly calling for ‘new blood’ in the Bush Administration. They may get their wish when President Bush finds himself backed into a corner and abandoned by the Conservative movement. As reported by many media outlets, he is already at war with the Conservative movement. However, I believe it is just the opposite. The Conservative Movement is at war with him. There is increasing impatience with President Bush, for he is not adhering to their platform, which is causing rapid disaffection in all sectors of the GOP. It is a damn shame that Google News Alerts and Yahoo! has elected not to include UselessKnowledge.com for news worthy editorials and opinions. All of my thoughts and opinions contained here will not be distributed among new readers who would enjoy this forum. Is Google & Yahoo! so entrenched in the Republican Party, that they were pressured not to include this forum in their News Alerts? I sense that there is a growing backlash of discontent among the citizens of the United States and the World concerning the pressure of the Republicans effort to censor the voices of the American people who disagree with their policies. Is the United States in the grip of a slight form of Communist ideology which has infiltrated the GOP? Are the Evangelists who preach from their pulpits in churches around the country – the new intellectual terrorists, poisoning parishioner’s minds with gospel which has been carefully crafted and formulated by the Republican Conservative Movement? It would be wise for every American, regardless of their political ideologies - to give an enormous amount of thought to where our country has been, and where it is going. You must think of your family, children and future generations to fully dissect the rise of the Republican Conservative Movement from the ashes of defeat in the 1990’s, and the power it has accumulated in recent years. The legions of children who were educated with the doctrines of the Reagan years – are now in power or soon will be. They have been fully indoctrinated into the Conservative Movement Army, and are attempting to seize control of this country’s political decision making machine in all aspects of government. I know when reality will hit you squarely in the wallet, and your political leanings will be called into question. Right around Thanksgiving & Christmas, when you think all is well – you and your co-workers will be handed a memo and or called into a hastily called meeting, informing those attending that their positions in the company have been eliminated. Severance pay and conversion forms relating to health benefits will be handed out. You will exit the company doors for the last time to face your family with the news of your unexpected unemployment. They will ask, “How are we going to make the rent, mortgage, payments on the credit cards and car loans. How long will you get unemployment? Will you get an extension when the benefits run out? Etcetera, etcetera…” This scenario is not new. It occurs every year when the forth quarter is nearing its end, and the accountants deliver the profit and loss statements to CEO’s all around the country. Republicans will suddenly turn into Democrats. They will clamor and demand that their lives be restored to normal. They will scream, “Throw the bums out of Washington and their State governments.” I have seen this happen many times, and it gets extremely boring. Remember the old 1970’s chant, “Power to the People!”? My fellow Americans, you have the power right now to initiate change. Do not sit on your butts staring at television news broadcasts, football, and surfing the channels with the remote control. Make some news yourself. Speak-out on the issues that concern you and your family. Let the elected politicians know that you are educated and wise enough to see through the scam of the Conservative Movement. Involve your family, friends, and co-workers in a movement that will issue a blistering fiery roar of discontent in the ears and minds of your current elected officials. Shake them up!
