Oct. 29, 2005 Thank goodness at least I. Lewis Libby has been indicted! This will keep the Plamegate case open and pave the way for other indictments. So far, though, this represents pretty slim pickings. There is talk that an indictment still looms for Karl Rove. But even with two conspirators apprehended, it wouldn’t be much. What about Judith Miller, Michael Ledeen, David Wurmser, John Hannah and others involved in the case? Patrick Fitzgerald will not hint at what course investigations will take in the future. If we consider the whole cast of the dramatic performance that led to the war in Iraq, we might think of dozens of liars and propagandists in the media and in government. Let me just jot down the names of a few people I wish could be brought to justice. I won’t be fatuous enough even to hope that George W. Bush, Richard Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld will be brought down, at least very soon. Then please don’t forget Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. But the real architects of the invasion were Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith. Some of their accomplices were William Kristol, David Frum, Kenneth Pollack, William Safire, Charles Krauthammer, Jonah Goldberg, Abram Shulsky, Elliott Abrams and Laurie Mylroie, all Jewish Zionists, as are Libby, Miller, Ledeen and Wurmser of course. Odd that Jews, numbering about 1 in 40 in the general population of the US often number 5 or 6 out of 10 in high-level policy meetings on the Middle East. I would like to think that this case will turn out fueling a big Congressional investigation, but unfortunately the Zionists manipulate both parties. One could see this is the recent presidential contest, when John Kerry seemed to spend his time paraphrasing George W. Bush, at least on Iraq. In fact, I think Kerry threw the election. How else could you explain that he did not seize upon the black box that Bush had in his coat at the debates as an issue? Maybe Ariel Sharon was coaching Bush at the debates, and had instructed Kerry to keep his mouth shut! The turtle’s pace at which the investigation proceeded underscores the ineptitude of the American judicial system. What could the phrase “speedy trial” possibly be understood to mean, when all these famous trials drag on for months and years? It’s a travesty. Maybe Fitzgerald was selected to head the investigation only upon condition that he produce results only months after the election, and then that he produce only token results, an apparent indictment to be dismissed eventually. This is certainly a more significant matter than Watergate or Monicagate, both of which seem trivial by comparison. In those two cases, even though I personally never much cared for either Richard Nixon or William F. Clinton, I couldn’t understand why Congressmen were making such a fuss, and with straight faces. Now when it’s time to get serious, they’re all mum and complacent. This doesn’t bode well for the future of the country. Oh well, things may work out for the best in time. ------------ About the author Thomas Keyes: I have written two books: A SOJOURN IN ASIA (non-fiction) and A TALE OF UNG (fiction), neither published so far.
