Another Year, Another Bad Nobel Peace Prize Winner

Last Year it was Wangari Maathai, the woman who believed that AIDS was cooked up by a genocidal CIA to eliminate black people that won the award that is becoming less prestigious every year(after all Yasser Arafat won the award in 1994) even if the 2003 pick of Shirin Ebadi was an excellent pick.

But this year the committe is at it again. Selecting a person on their political views(usually anti American) instead of selecting someone who actually deserves it. Who is this years winner? Why it is Mohammed El-Baradei head of the IAEA, the UN nuclear watchdog group. Apparently their real job is just to watch as rogue nations build nuclear weapons.

How bad of a pick is he? Well let me put it to you like this, a dead raccoon found on the side of a West Virginia country road would have been a better pick. At least a dead raccoon wouldn't have been a defender of Saddam Hussein and allowed lunatics to get their hands on the equpiment needed to build nuclear bombs.

Let's see: as head of the IAEA he allowed Libya to continue its weapons program(only the U.S. invasion of Iraq put that to an end) He did nothing as the Pakistani scientis A.Q. Khan gave away nuclear technology to anyone who wanted it. He sat around as North Korea announced to the world that it had nuclear weapons, and has done nothing as Iran is in a frenzy to build its own arsenal.(he probably introduced Khan to the Iranians to help them speed up the process).

Instead of worrying about manical, bloodthirsty dictatorships he instead wrings his hands over the U.S. as if Geroge W. Bush makes nightly TV appearences threatening enemies of the United States with nuclear destruction.

This man doesn't deserve an award, he deserves a pink slip.
