Caller ID is a useful telephone feature. It lets you know who is calling after the second ring or so especially if you are the type who screens his/her calls before you pick up the receiver.

And if you are too impatient to wait for the answering machine’s recording to give you a much needed telephone number, with a press of a button on the caller ID device, you can retreive that number, depending on how far on the list it is on the device, that is.

And soon, you will also be able to have this feature on your television as well, especially if you have a subscription to both the Digital Telephone service along with the Digital Cable package. This feature will be at no extra charge to the customer, providing of course that you have the above mentioned package.

For that caller ID feature will be used on your television screen. So if you are in the midst of watching your favourite television programme and the telephone rings, you will not necessarily have to rise from the comfort of your chair and go to the telephone to see who is calling.

For the caller ID feature will inform you of the caller just like it does on your telephone with that feature. The difference? This way, you will see a display of the caller’s name and telephone number on the top, left hand corner of your television’s screen.

In addition, if you are so deeply engrossed in a television show or movie, at least you will know who is calling even if you do not answer the telephone. Talk about not missing a call.
