Nov. 30, 2005 Aruba released their copy of a copy of the now infamous tapes that Jamie Skeeters did with Deepak Kalpoe and it was played in part on Greta Van Susteren and Rita Cosby's shows last night. I found something about the copy of a copy of the tape strange. Jamie's voice was loud and clear yet all of the answers to the important questions coming from Deepak were "Inaudible". The FBI has the hard-drive ORIGINAL version of the tape from Skeeter's computer and they are supposed to be analyzing it so there should be some kind of conclusive report on exactly what Deepak said and didn't say. The FBI has the ability to enhance some portions of a tape recording but this is NOT CSI and they can not make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I doubt that this tape will aid the so-called investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and I doubt that short of an eye witness showing up with the credentials of a supreme being, anything will help to resolve this case. There are people who do not want it to be solved and they are the people with the power so it most likely will never be solved. Getting aback to the issue of the tape; at the very least Beth Twitty was manipulated by Dr. Phil and his producers and she was used for the purpose of garnering higher ratings for their show. This is a mother who has lost her child in the worst way possible as she does not know what happened to her or where she is. She only has her imagination to go on and that can paint scenes of horrendous proportions. I can't fault Beth for wanting to believe in the unbelievable because she has nothing else.I can't blame her for wanting what Dr. Phil showed, to be true. For a short time it appeared as if the suspects might be re-arrested due to the tape and that maybe justice would finally be done. I can't blame her for her desperate hope. I can and do blame Dr. Phil and those involved with producing his show for listening to a tape and knowing that it was NOT what he was going to claim it to be and than going ahead and presenting it in a way that changed it into something false. Someone on that show KNEW that what Beth Twitty witnessed in those edited clips was going to give her hope and that when the truth came out it would yank that hope away from her. A Psychologist who claims to be able to heal and aid those who are deeply troubled is now also some kind of a god who can give and take hope away from a grieving mother without any thought to the damage that he might be doing? Ratings superseded decency and compassion? I am not sure how I feel about a total boycott of Aruba but I am going to call for one myself. I am asking people to boycott the Dr. Phil Show and to write in and demand that all involved be held accountable for what happened with that tape. I would also call for a letter writing campaign addressed to Oprah Winfrey (Phil's mentor) demanding that she investigate Dr. Phil's lack of due diligence and deceptive practices. If anything good came out of this it might be that Beth will be more careful in the future and that she will look around to see if any other vultures are circling her before she invests her emotions in what they have to sell. ------------ About the author: Meri has a Medical/Legal background and is a former forensic researcher specializing in psychological profiling. https://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.asp?bookid=27335 Email: writers2@cox.net Tell a friend about this site! ------------ All articles are EXCLUSIVE to Useless-Knowledge.com.
