How Do We Know Who's Misleading Us?

By Ken Hughes
Nov. 26, 2005

Michael Malsbury just posted an article suggesting we’re being manipulated regarding the war in Iraq. I think she calls it Fixing Fractures Facts. First, we must ask Ms. Malsbury who’s fracturing the facts. It’s the media reporting what they perceive to be the facts. Different media different facts, I watch Fox Cable News. They certainly don’t report the facts as being fractures. Fox gives us a positive view of events in Iraq along with the unfortunate deaths of some of our troops. Coronal Oliver North and Geraldo Rivera have made many trips and spent many months imbedded with our troops, neither of these men consider it a total disaster we should with draw from.

Ms. Malsbury has her own plan for getting us out of Iraq. To my knowledge, Ms. Malsbury’s never been physically involved a war. I doubt she’s ever lead troops in combat. It’s always easy to sit back in the safe zone and tell professionals how to do their job. It’s easy to assume the capabilities of others even though one has probably never meet those others. Democracy isn’t something that comes from insight. It must be taught Iraqis have had years of oppression. years without education, or the right to participate in their governments activities. How can Ms. Malsbury know what they are capable of?

Those brilliant Iraqis Ms. Malsbury speaks of live in Dearborn Michigan. They had the good sense to leave Iraq while Saddam was murdering their families. The Iraqis who didn’t leave and who weren’t associated with Saddam are the ones who’re trying to build a democracy. They need help as America needed help in 1776.

Democrats are being disingenuous, they were the first to call for the removal of Saddam Hussein and his ilk. Democratic Congressmen shouted endlessly the need to remove Saddam for eight years before George Bush ever mentioned it once. Even wimpy little Jimmy Carter said Saddam had WMDs. Now the Democratic Congress and their loyal followers are doing their best to lie their way out of what they preached prior to 9/11. What do they do, they brainwash innocent civilians whose closest contact with combat was seeing the movies, “Saving Private Ryan” and “Forrest Gump.”

I’m sure Ms. Malsbury believes she’s making a positive statement, If you were to ask any one of those brave volunteer soldiers who actually see the benefits of our being in Iraq I’m sure they would tell Ms. Malsbury to find more suitable subjects to spew her vitriolic Democratic diatribe on. If we’re to compare our own Revolutionary War sucesses of 1776 to the war in Iraq, Iraq is years ahead in creating a democratic government. So much for Liberal lies.

America’s had it’s naysayers ever time it went forth to save a society and to prevent pillage, touchier, rape, and murder. These naysayers are the same people who claim if it weren’t for Y, X wouldn’t be happening with our knowing what either X or Y are. These people who’re against everything and everyone who don’t believe in freedom for all don’t stand a chance of convincing Americas to follow them.

Ms. Malsbury and her fellow Liberal Democrats are missing the most important part of the equation. America has a tradition “My Country Right Or Wrong.” There’re still many who believe in this country and will continue to back it, and believe it’s doing the right thing, polls be damned.

When Liberal Democrats get through rewriting the history of Iraq, Afghanistan, and the war on terror It’ll all be over and perhaps so will the Democratic party.

Ms Malsbury is normally a lovely lady, when the name Bush is mentioned she turns into an uncontrollable vindictive viscous person, capable of nearly any act. I have no idea why, I doubt she’s ever meet the man.
