Nov. 26, 2005 You have accomplished what no one else could. You have thrown a monkey wrench into the investigation of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in such a way that I doubt it can ever be fixed. I have NOT changed my mind about the investigators on Aruba or the Prosecutor on Aruba and I believe that they have bungled this case from the first moment they got involved. I NEVER believed for one second that they would solve this case and have said so many times when writing articles here. I also spoke out against Dr. Phil, his credentials and Beth Twitty's involvement with him and people like him. It is no secret that I have called Beth out for going down the wrong path and allowing herself to be manipulated by individuals who had and have hidden agendas. Phil needed his ratings and so did Rita Cosby. I don't have a clue about the Governor of Alabama and what his reasoning is but I have also published that I believe that the boycott will not work. My only suggestion was that schools and groups sponsoring young students and teenagers NOT allow these students to travel to Aruba or anywhere without adequate supervision. Mr. Gould only told you part of the story regarding the tapes. Some of the information WAS accurate and ONLY the Dr. Phil and Rita Cosby portions were manipulated. Chief Dompig said so himself. The FBI has NOT released the results of their investigation into what is on Skeeter's hard-drive so lets not be so quick to condemn the entire thing as bogus. I have made no secret of my dislike of Phil and Rita and if you read my previous articles about the Case you will find that I warned Beth more than once about these people and the consequences that associating with them might bring. Well, now the other shoe has dropped and Karen, and Jacobs and the rest must be dancing in the streets. Oprah Winfrey was once (and may still be) Dr. Phil's mentor and she is the one responsible for his success on television. Oprah is thought of as a fair-minded and generous person and if those attributes are true than she owes the public and at least Dave Holloway an investigation into Dr. Phil and the validity of his program. How many others has he harmed with his manipulations and falsehoods? Was the Skeeters tape the only time that Phil has cooked the books? I am not shocked nor am I surprised that this happened and I can only hope that Beth now sees the light and disassociates with the people around her who will not only bring her embarrassment, but destroy any chance that she and her family have of finding out what happened to Natalee. If she insists on going down the path she is presently on she will be doing as much damage as the so-called experts on Aruba and in Holland have done to botch this entire sad, sad story. I condemn Dr. Phil and I condemn Rita Cosby for being more anxious to get high ratings than to be seekers of truth. I am still hopeful that the mother of the missing child will turn things around for her own good and peace of mind. I am also hoping that Natalee's Dad will not be let down and never know the truth of what happened to his daughter. This is a man of extreme dignity and calm and he doesn't deserve to be victimized yet again; this time by greedy television personalities and wrong-headed family members who refuse to open their eyes to what is gong on right in front of them. This is one of those "I told you so moments" but it won't do anyone any good to use it and I certainly don't feel good about being able to say it. Despite the bias of a certain writer on here, he should stop saying it and remember what this is all about...a missing child.
