Happy Thanksgiving And Being Thankful

This is the time of year when one pays homage to some of the things he or she is thankful for, and as we contemplate on all things thankful, one of the things that comes to mind is one’s parents. So if you are pleased to be here and alive, that first bit of thanks should go to them, parental issues or not.

Then you have your achievements, out of which there are many, and in a world that’s becoming more and more economically challenged with high gas prices, inflation and the like, just being able to make that mortgage payment or utility bill one can be a great achievement. So give yourself a pat on the back if you are able to accomplish one or any of those things.

Also if you have a little hobby on the side such as writing or constructing things, and you manage to complete something you started earlier on in the year such as a novel, work of non fiction, or something else, congratulate yourself too.

For many people may begin a certain project that could be placed on the back burner once procrastination shows itself. Those individuals know who they are. So if you have finished something you started, be thankful for staying true to the project, however difficult and challenging it may have seemed at times. For that’s when you have something to show for all the precious time spent on the project.

But most of all, be thankful that you have yourself and your health, and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
