Nov. 22, 2005 Believe this story! A professional just migrated from Africa to UK recently under the HSMP visa. And after many months of searching for jobs ….he was able to secure a job within the public sector. And as someone from Africa…..where the culture permeates…the atmosphere of being your brother’s keeper. He began to exhibit this attitude everywhere he goes. In the area where he lives….he will greet his neighbour….they will shrug to answer him. And in his place of work …he also extended the same pleasantries…. This was even worse for him to swallow…because every time he gets to the office…he will want to greet his colleagues just as he was doing in Africa and the following encounter occurred one day: Professional: Good morning Jack! Jack: …..he shrugged to answer him….’morning’ Professional: Ah! Ah!! What is wrong with you people here…..if I greet you…you find it difficult to answer….everywhere is the same…..me I am tired of this country oh!
