He's Back, Nasty As Ever, Zappa U. Frankly, [aka] We Know Who You Are

By Ken Hughes
Nov. 17, 2005

Our friend is back ripping, slashing, lording over those with differing opinions. Disagreeing over an article is permissible if done with some degree of respect, and doesn’t go on boring the hell out of the readers. Tearing a person apart as ZUF did too Michelle Malsbury in her latest article is beyond the restraints of good taste. Where does this person come off thinking they have the right to determine who and what should and shouldn’t be posted on UK? That’s for the Editor to decide.

I’m remained of a story of a fellow who hails from a small town in Texas, [So I won’t embarrass him I’ll use factious names], Ron, Joe, and Frank were involved and killed in an automobile accident. When they arrive in heaven, God greets them. God asks Joe why he should be allowed in heaven, Joe tells God of all his good works. God nods and tells Joe Smith to sit on his right side. God asks Frank the same question and Frank tells of his good works. God tells Frank Jones to sit on his left side. God was about to ask Ron why he should be allowed in heaven, Ron Lewis said excuse me God, you’re in my chair.

There are people in this world who believe they were put on this earth to keep the rest of us in line. They’re convinced they’re right and everyone else is wrong. But for them and their wisdom the wheels would come off, the sky would fall, and we’d all fall of the edge. These are usually people of low esteem and few accomplishments. Their strength comes from their anonymity, hiding behind a keyboard and a computer screen. ZUF has every right to express his opinions. Everyone has a right to make a fool out of themselves. Some people are given a second opportunity to be a fool.

ZUF seemed to be making Michelle Malsbury’s attempts at getting her masters degrees something less than respectable. It took me 22 years and half dozen Colleges and Universities to get a Bachelors degree. I feel no shame. ZUF made comments about her career changes. I had more than one employer and more than one career, unemployed was never one of them.

Michelle is a friend, I don’t always agree with her articles. Similarly, she doesn’t agree with mine. We share different political beliefs. I wouldn’t think of trying to embarrass her by writing a 4 page article knit-picking each of her nuances. If ZUK has that much insight into a contributors writing style, it can only mean one of two things ZUF is a long time reader or he / she/ it has been here before.

Far be it for me to discourage ZUK from writing whatever floats his / her / it’s boat. I can and will do the same as many readers will do pass this one by for something by Judy Ransook or one of the other accomplished writers on this web site. Articles should be to inform, not to degrade, and disrespect others, unless of course you write for the New York Times.

References to persons living or dead is purely intentional.
