Nov. 8, 2005 Thing aren’t going well for Bush Bashers lately. To read and hear the media tell it Bush is in the tank. Talking with the public Liberals and the Media are the ones in the tank. When we look around and do a quick evaluation things aren’t so bad, Let’s put that another way, when intelligent people capable of rational thought look around things aren’t so bad after all. The media is coming under more and more criticism each day. Reporters, are hard pressed to get news faster and encouraged to skip the old traditions of verifying fact. These are time-honored traditions young reporters seem to overlook or don’t understand. Even some of the older reporters are taking these same shot-cuts. There are those who believe no good news is news, only that which exposes and titillates is worth space. These stories have become so obviously fabricated with in hours they’re discredited. The Internet is rapidly becoming the Medias biggest competitor for the public’s attention. In a recent article, an anonymous contributor claiming to have worked for Google suggested the reason they’ve dropped this web site and several others is because of their lack of professionalism. If this web site operated like the mainstream media, it would be suffering the same fate, and would disappear into oblivion. It’s UK and sites like it that are putting the pressure on the media and politicians to become more honest in what they’re telling us. If Google’s bending to political pressure, either willingly of otherwise. Other search sites will pick up on who Google dropped. It will only be a matter of time, and economics. These web sites generate hits, Hits are like paid subscriptions to a newspaper, It’s called circulations. Google may have given up on us nonprofessionals who misspell and use improper grammar, the public hasn’t given up on us. Like animals to water, they’ll find a path leading to our poorly constructed sites. I digress. Back to Bush bashing, I have no doubt Liberals will find subject after subject to try to discredit the President and his fellow Republican between now and the 2006 elections. We welcome their attempt. There’s only so much stupidity that’s allowed one political party. Democrats have about used up their allotment. Each time they fabricate some issue they think will sell with the public it blows up in their faces. Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, Al Franken, and the rest of the out spoken Liberals are now content to preach to their own choir. The public isn’t listening to them any longer. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Laura Ingrham, and Fox Cable News just keep rolling along building larger audiences all the time. Liberals have deluded themselves into believing if they come up with one Bush bashing issue that sticks it will win them back both housed of Congress and the Whitehouse. On their smartest day, Liberals aren’t as smart as Conservatives on their dumbest day. Conservatives keep quiet and perform. Liberals can’t shut up and do nothing. The computer and its side effects such as the internet is the greatest invention in the history of man inventing things. It serves all mankind is ways no one can totally fathom. I’m told the internet is still in its infancy. I’m told the internet will redefine politics to such a point in a matter of the next quarter century it’ll be unrecognizable by today’s standards. If our best years are ahead, I will surly miss them. My advice to Bush bashers, you’re not turning people away, you’re turning them to Bush, most people root for the underdog. ------------ About the author: Ken Hughes joined the Republican Party at the age of three.
