Nov. 29, 2004 The Doorless Grave (Prelude: for death, it has no key to open the Doorless Grave of the hateful bread ((Part one: dedicated to Yassir Arafat; Epitaph.)) Part I Doorless is thy new home, And grim is it within There, thou shall dwell— In the cold and wormy clay! Remain, detained—forever: Does that not pleaseth thee? Hence, thou body lays Deep within earths ground: No friends to talk to thee, No friends to come and see, No friends will ever be, Descending down, to see thee. Part II Death has no revisions, No touching up or emendating. It has only white sheets. And a dark shadow around you; Filling up, the empty space, As if you were looking down, Down from a tree within a dream: While the soul waits for its deliverer. #387/11/26/04 Fix the World This world, I’d like to correct, yet this will not happen, while alive, “Why?” you ask; there are too many sides. For some there is no God you see, only man: thus, he is permitted to kill, at will. A pity, this division amongst people; souls with tears, bodies torn. Wars, so many wars, fading, ascending, never never, really ending. As heaven and hell look on. Yet this world I’d like to correct, but, every one’s dead before I get to them. I dare say, he who loves life as much as death, will never die; for that is where truth is mixed—resides; if truth is, is really what one hopes to find. I invented this life of mine, “What country are you from?” he asks. How about ‘Paradise?’ I can‘t remember it, but I’ve sensed it. In my dreams I fly to it; in my day I kneel and hear its echo; no doubt I will find it. #388; 11/28/04 ------------ About the author: Mr. Siluk is a world traveler, a lover of the mysteries around the world, and has visit many World Heritage Sites, his most recent being Easter Island, the Galapagos and Mesa Verde.
