The Atrocities Of Capitalism

By Stephen Winter
Nov. 27, 2004

Capitalism is a system that enslaves the masses but in the end it is the poor that really suffer. Yet the rich grow more wealthy and powerful each day. These capitalists abuse a system that if run properly with checks and balances could contribute to society. Instead the rich buy off politicians, bribe licensing organizations, and set up boards that they are appointed or elected to. The free market system that built the Western World has been transformed into a cancerous monster that has left a trail of death and destuction in its wake.

Many a poor man throughout history has toiled at backbreaking labor for what? For an early grave, pitiful wages, deplorable working conditions, and a few crumbs of dried bread. Capitalism as a whole has not improved life the last 250 years, but has worsened it. In fact all revolutions throughout history can be traced to the abuse of capitalism that enslaves the masses. Capitalism today has exclusive and ever expanding rights to everything you own, buy, or sell. However in this type of environment the poor and needy receive none of the profits.

For those that have labored so hard they deserve the rights to the profits for it is their sweat, blood, and toil that is the life force that drives the economy. It is unbelievable that those that labor receive little of the fruits of their work. Today this continues as a way of life for many as they are forced to produce more and more only to receive less and less. I have worked in the sweat houses of commerce: factories, steel shops, and slaughter houses. As a writer I have seen into the hearts of those that suffer under capitalism.

The conditions that the working class must work in are appalling even by today's standards for little has changed in the last 100 years. The immigrants glad to be employed still labor for low wages which never are enough to make ends meet. So they are forced to go to the banks for credit or loans that are owned and controlled by the same capitalist system that provides their jobs. While those in power gather in the spoils of the working class.

For those that would dare to go into small business for themselves they to are forced out of business by the giant conglomerates eventually. The well moneyed corporate capitalists will under cut the prices of the little guy by dropping prices. Since the small, merchant cannot compete against these mega corporate giants, they are soon forced into receivership. The capitalist elite: the owners, users, buyers and sellers control the marketplace.

As you can see the poor are subjected to perpetual slavery, low wages, unsafe working conditions for the sake of big business' greedy profits. Today the atrocities of capitalism continue relentlessly by attacking family values. Industry now demands the working class to obey their way of thinking. Now in most jobs you can be forced to work Sundays and holidays with little time for church, family or friends.

Fifty years ago it would be unthinkable to work on Sundays but big business has bribed labor unions and politicians to change the laws and traditional values of the past. It is labor that should be demanding big business to obey them, for it is labor that drives industry. Capitalism is not friend of the working or family man for it oppresses the poor unmercifully taking away all freedom, rights, and dignity.

As with all politicial systems they begin to become over confident and secure in themselves and ignore the cracks in the foundations that are evident to outsiders. They cracks are not visible except to those that see the truth. A cry for human freedom is echoing across the land and even to distant shores. Just as the walls of Jericho fell so to will capitalism be crushed and defeated by the will of the people.

Though the media, controlled and fianced by corrupt big business, refuses to acknowledge that the structure of wealth and greed is weakening the signs are all around us. For now the capital aristocracy: the Rockefeller's, the Bill Gates,' the Fords have become islands of corruption unto themselves. They may be well fortified but there is a change coming in the wind and its name is socialism.

It is time for the poor and needy be released from 250 years of bondage to the capitalist lies. Those lies were created to blind the masses from reality. No longer are people will to except the lies of capitalism that eats and ravishes its young. Today we strike a blow from liberty and socialism and await the day when capitalism will be but a memory. That day is coming!
