Nov. 26, 2004 Nancy Pelosi has no problem increasing the national deficite for personal gain. Representative Nancy Pelosi Democrat of San Francisco California [Minority leader of the house] has included the following list of goodies in the 2005 national budget. This is only her request for personal pork projects. There is nothing in her request for national needs and we are told this is only a partial list. Now we know why Democrats are against income tax reduction. If you bother to read through this list of demands by Pelosi you’ll see there is nothing to benefit the public as a whole. Most projects are directed as special interests. Most of the projects should be financed by the City of San Francisco or by privet interests. Only one security at the San Francisco Air Port which is actually located in San Bruno merits federal assistance. As anyone can plainly see budget deficits are not the fault of Presidents they are the direct Responsibility of Congress. Congressional perks [pork] can add as much or more than 25 billion dollars to the national budget. Health and housing - $500,000 for the UCSF Children's Hospital Mothers' and Children's Birth Defects Center Law enforcement, violence prevention - $1.5 million for the Family Violence Prevention Fund in San Francisco to create an International Center to End Violence - $1 million to upgrade the San Francisco Police Department Records Management System.
