Nov. 19, 2004 I would have to ask why the promotion of a black woman to the office of Secretary of State is not as celebrated as Willie Jeff’s promotion of a white woman to that same office. In fact, I would have to ask why the promotion of Dr. Condoleezza Rice isn’t an opportunity for a greater celebration by the leadership of the black community as a whole. It is amazing, the silence from that same black community and the Congressional Black Caucus. What is even more amazing is the racism being displayed against Dr. Rice by the liberal, biased and racist national media. To this point in time I have read that Dr. Rice is a trainer of monkeys; I have seen political cartoons featuring the likeness of Dr. Rice as that of a parrot and a barefooted welfare mother, and I have read a Doonesbury strip defaming Dr. Rice as “Brown Sugar”. The truth is, liberalism is very worried. Anthony Harwood of the “Mirror.co.uk” in his article: “The World’s Most Powerful Woman” is a case in point. He likens Dr. Rice to a trainer of monkeys and a lock-stepped minion of conservatism. I understand his chagrin. Next to Dr. Rice, Mr. Harwood might rise to the level of freaking idiot. As for Gary Trudeau and the other political cartoonists of his caliber, the denigration of a woman with such high credentials as Dr. Rice is very understandable. What cartoonist, after all, is capable of writing any single paragraph of words that might make sense? It is for the liberals to fear Dr. Rice. She will now command more face time than their own pet parrot, Madam Senator Clinton. Dr. Rice will have more opportunities to show how truly capable and intelligent she is in a world of racist liberal pukes who don’t know diplomacy from donuts. What does a junior senator from New York offer toward the goals of international diplomacy? It is now the purview of the Secretary of State to take on the role of peacemaker. Dr. Rice will be at the forefront of the diplomatic efforts to secure peace in the Middle East and beyond. If she succeeds there will not be enough trees in any forest for liberals to hide behind. From this moment on I do not expect any liberal or any Democrat support for the efforts of the office of Secretary of State. They do not support any of the President’s efforts. They will not support the efforts of Dr. Rice. But Dr. Rice will not be alone in her efforts. She will have the full support of the White House and, thank goodness, the Senate has enough of a majority to back the major initiatives of State. Do not expect to see any support from the Democrats, the liberals or the so-called black leadership of America that holds the entitlement attitude over that of personal responsibility. If you hold your breath waiting for the NAACP, the Rev. Al Sharpton or the Rev. Jesse Jackson, you will run out of oxygen and you will die. It is true. Dr. Rice will be coming into a position that will entitle her to claim the title of: “The World’s Most Powerful Woman”. She has earned it. Liberals should be concerned.
