Nov. 18, 2004 It just goes to show how such shows such as The Vibe Awards and Monday Night Football shouldn't even be allowed, period. I'm not saying that football shouldn't be allowed, but why promote ABC's "Desperate Housewives" by having a woman in only a towel come in trying to seduce a football player? It's disgusting and disturbing. I feel that such filth shouldn't even be allowed on television. What is the FCC going to do about this nonsense? It's revolting. Someone should fine and suspend ABC for even having filth such as that. I know what a lot of you would say, "change the channel," sometimes you just can't change the channel, because it shouldn't even be on the air in the first place. The Vibe Awards was a big hit Monday, wasn't it? I mean, all those great role-models like Eminem, and Snoop-Doggy Dogg. I heard one of the rappers, Dr. Dre, received more lashing than Jesus Christ himself on that night. Is this what our children are looking up to as role- models? This Dr. Dre guy was receiving an award for so-called music he made about killing people, abusing women, and bringing forth such people as Eminem? What kind of a society do we live in where people like that become our children's role models? I feel that someone should really stop these hip- hop and rap music for good, it's not even music to begin with. I am a mother and a school teacher, and I feel that enough is enough. Someone has got to put a stop to this nonsense. The people in the rap community are nothing but scum, and if they had one ounce of education, they wouldn't be fighting each other every year and every awards show. Enough is enough. Down with the rap community and down with violence and all that other nonsense that our children see everyday. How many rap awards show is that now? A fight breaks out every year in a rap awards show. Vibe awards. Source awards. Etc. It stops now!
