Nov. 16, 2004 I got a letter today asking me to speak at a convention -- the theme is Peace. There are over 5.1 million poets in this company and then all the other poets out there not to mention all the other people that are in this world and they asked me. I myself can't understand it cuz I don't think that I am that good I've read many things lots better, in my opinion. But it makes me think that maybe the things I write and scream about, ain't so bad afterall. Peace is Kindness. Peace is The Lord. Peace is Quiet time. Peace is Happiness. I scream and I write Be Kind my "signature' is, One brick at a Time Towards Peace and Kindness. 99% of the things that I write are from troubling times, hurtful times, sad times. People who have come into my life and taken and hurt me. The deaths that I have dealt with over my lifetime, 7 last year. I write about the catastrophes that happen and some tell me that's when I do my best writing. It's when I feel so deep in my heaert is why. My heart is open and vulnerable then. It's at those times when I need the Lord and my heart is where He lives. The Keeper of Life. The Heart -- The Lord. I have a neighbor that is causing troubles for all those around her that I have been trying to reach for over three years now. But some people just don't understand things as simple as, BE NICE! I have a problem with the things said during times, like how people live and the things they have chosen to do with their lives. And like the elections and all the bad mouthing of their past and things they say. It, to me is a whole different issue like who will do the best job for this country. What will they do for this country. Not where have you been, who are you sleeping with. Shoot look what happened to Princess Diana From all the public eyes and opinions. Never giving her a moment of peace, lone time, private time, not even on her dying day. We all have a past and some dream of being President of the USA. Shoot even me and my one friend got into it. I am going to run for President and she my Vice President and now the truth comes out of which party I support, Bill Clinton and Michael Douglas will be part of Our Team. -- "The Fearsome Foursome" But honestly how many of us really capture that dream we have as kids and adults? So we all gotta live and be who we are and hopefully learn as we go along. But it's about living and being a good person. Reaching the Ultimate Goal.-- Going to Heaven. I rant and rave about things like dis-respect and respect. But in all the things I write, I write about being Kind. Giving all Peace of Mind. My other goals that I have is to give as many as I possilbly can 'a little piece of peace of mind.' My theme for my life. I have a poem written about it and the things I want to do is have a place called "Memory Gardens" as I have over 600 cactus that I have picked off the mother cactus and potted, Well so what does one do with that many cactus? 'A gift from nature for nature'. I am going to dedicate each one to the memory of families deceased pets. I want to do pet cemeteries all over the land, So often we don't know what to do when our pet dies and it is a very hard thing to do is bury your own pet. Believe me I know that first hand. Then there are those who live in apartments or are elderly or pets pass on while elsewhere like they do here, where we get snowbirds, those that come in their rv's and 5th wheels and camp out here in the desert during the winter months, that have no yard to place them in. So I want to give them that place and help, giving all 'a little piece of peace of mind.' Pretty easy, huh? So, anyway I hope that all here and around the world can learn the simple little thing called BE NICE!! And that there will be Peace among ourselves. And this country and people will be as I remember people were once, ya know when there were wholesome shows on tv like Red Skelton and My Three Sons, Petticoat Junction, and of course Green Acres and Gilligan's Island, Ed Sullivan, Lawerence Welk, and the talk shows like Mike Douglas and Merv Griffen, To Tell the Truth, Password, and then my favorite movie of all times following the wholesome theme there, Overboard. I hope that all can quit arguing back and forth and will come out and quit fighting and do nice things and so the things necessary that will be constructive, like hanging the Commandments back up where they belong, letting us pray when ever where ever we please at school assemblies and work. That all the Cowards hiding like I was will come out and fight for the causes that need to be. To stand up and defend all who give us a better life. And don't let anyone ever take those memories and shrines away from us! Don't let anyone disgrace the memories and efforts of those who help us to a better life. Freedom, Peace, Love, Kindness, Caring. That's what really makes the world go 'round. Life is a beautiful thing. It's free. Come, join in any time.
