My Articles Are Divinely Inspired

By Thomas Keyes
May 28, 2005

Anyone who has read some of the many articles I haved posted at useless-knowledge.com's website will undoubtedly have noted the impress of divine inspiration that is their hallmark. Obviously no mere mortal could have penned such supernaturally insightful and undyingly beautiful vignettes. The only question can have been whether to call them Psalms and add them to the Book of Psalms, starting with number 151, or to bind them all together as a Third Testament, to be added to their two spiritual predecessors.

With all due humility, I admit that verily the articles were written in my heart by the hand of Heaven. I have been the mere urn whence the angels have elected to pour their life-giving waters.

Yet, the fool says in his heart that these articles were not divinely inspired. He says I have kept company with atheists and have written after their fashion. He understands not that such articles were parables. He enquired not into the true meaning of the articles. Let him hearken who has ears wherewith to hear!

There are many proofs of the divine nature of my inspiration.

Firstly, there is not a single contradiction in all my articles. I am offering a handsome reward to any man, woman or child who can get me to admit that there is a single contradiction or error in all the scores of articles I have posted. Even the apparent typographical errors have hidden meanings. They are parables. Let him hearken who has ears wherewith to hear!

Secondly, it was prophesied of old that I would arise, for was it not said, "And I will give unto thee the Keyes of the kingdom of Heaven."? And was it not said, "Whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven."? Therefore I say unto you, that my articles have been loosed on earth and shall be loosed in Heaven. Let him hearken who has ears wherewith to hear!

Thirdly, my articles are complete and perfect in themselves. They provide a guiding light and a set of rules for all men. I have not come to abolish all previous writings; I have come to fulfill them. For was it not prophesied of old, "Let there be light."? Let him hearken who has ears wherewith to hear!

There shall be much weeping and gnashing of teeth on the day of judgment. For any man who says that my articles were not divinely inspired shall be sorely afflicted. He shall perish on that day and woe shall betide him.
