May 15, 2005 There is currently a huge uproar among the “religion of peace” people over reports that some US Soldiers defiled and disrespected the holy Koran, the zealots handbook for terrorism. I say to those that are protesting these alleged actions, SO WHAT??? You and your cohorts burn or desecrate our American Flag on a regular basis you kill anyone that doesn’t strictly adhere to the teachings of that handbook., and I’m sure there are some Bible burning as well. Now the leaders of Muslim nations are calling for stiff punishment of those that may have desecrated the Koran, well, when will they be demanding punishment for desecrating two towers in NYC, the Pentagon building and a field in Pennsylvania? What rankles me most is that Condoleezza Rice, the US Secretary of State, promised an inquiry and punishment for any proven offenders. My question is: Exactly what will these people be charged with? As far as I know, burning books, tearing pages out of books and otherwise desecrating books, while may be offensive to me as a reader, it is not against the law. Special note to Connie. Those terrorists being held at GITMO (Guantanamo Bay) are criminals at the very least, and most likely mass murderers, not vacationers at Club Med., if this offends them, let Ted Kennedy spend some of his ill gotten gains and buy them all brand new copies of their own version of “The Anarchists Cookbook”, at least they’d be safer than riding in one of his cars. These soldiers deserve no punishment at all, and definitely no sensitivity classes, just let them remain the only thin wall between the murderous bastards and the rest of the decent world. I’m tired of seeing our officials kowtowing to these terrorist hosts every time someone offends their sense of decency. I’m not anti Muslim, but anti stupid. Promising punishment for a non-crime is backpedaling in my book, and this is not how I want my American officials acting. If Rice can’t stand up to these clowns, then she should step down and let a real defender of America take her place, I suggest former General Tommy Franks, at least he backs up what he says. Rice’s actions and words in this matter is something I would expect of the Clinton/Gore fiasco, but not on Bush’s watch. Am I offended if someone burns a Bible? Of course I am, but I don’t whine to a government about it, I consider the source of the burner and shrug it off, I don’t demand his or her head on a plate, or stoning them to death, not even a slap on the wrist. If they have such disrespect for a Bible, so be it, they will have to pay for it in the end, not me, and I am not the person to administer their final judgment. So to all of you Muslims screaming for punishment, keep in mind, I’m still calling for punishment for the murder of 3,00 plus innocent souls at the hands of the religion of peace. ------------ About the author: Mike Romer is a politically incorrect, disgruntled resident of New Jersey and thinks a lot of people need their heads screwed on properly.
