The Astrological Sign Of Gemini

By Brian Michael Barbeito
Mar. 28, 2005

Who knows if there is anything to astrology. But life can be a heavy a burden and many find it a fun outlet. The air signs are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. The earth signs are Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus. The fire signs are Leo, Sagitarius, and Aries. The water signs are Scorpio, Cancer, and Pises.

Two of the biggest misconceptions about these signs have to do with Aquarius and Leo. Some people would assume that since Aquarius is symbolized by the Water Bearer, that it is a water sign, but as mentioned it is an air sign. Another common belief is that since Leo The Lion is the King or Queen of the Jungle that it is the 'strongest' of the signs. Though very strong indeed, Scorpio is the strongest sign of the zodiac.

The sign of Gemini is represented by the symbol of The Twins, and the constellation of Castor and Pollux. In mythology, one twin came down to earth while the other waited for his return in the heavens. Gemini is thought to possess duality of mind, agile intellect and much wit. The sign's physical features are repressented by the arms and lungs.

The sign of Gemini is said to be good at communications, making friends, and salesmanship. Its downside includes fickleness, unreliability, and spreading oneself too thin. Gemini is said to be the sign most prone to mental exhaustion and also nervous breakdown.

A famous Gemini leader is John F. Kennedy. Some Gemini actors include Marlyn Monroe, Robert Downy Jr., and Johnny Depp. Bob Dylan is also a Gemini. Writers born under this sign include Jean- Paul Sartre and William Styron. Poet Walt Whitman was also a Gemini.
