Mar. 26, 2005 Peggy Noonan calls them [plug pullers] I have other names for them but I’ll settle for Peggy’s description. What will be her epitaph be, my husband killed me for a book and movie rights? My husbands honey couldn’t wait any longer. I can think of several more. The judicial system murdered me to maintain control over the American justice, [or not.] Terri Schiavo has never been granted due process; she was never given a hearing where all of the evidence in her favor was presented. New technologies developed in the past five years would no doubt have changed the situation in her care, or lack of it. In fact, Terri Schiavo in any of her hearings has never been adequately represented, the attorneys were acting for her parents, and her husband, and the courts, none for Terri. This has been a crusade by her estranged husband, [ I say estranged because he has a shack-up honey and two love children at home] to see her dead. If the legal system spent as much time, investigating Michael Schiavo as they’ve spending murdering Terri it may make for some interesting information coming out into the open. The same people who say Terri Schiavo is beyond saving these are the same people who proclaim a women’s right to abort a living fetus, who protest for absolute and impartial justice for child molesters, drunk drivers, and murders. Michael Jackson faces a potential jail sentence and he’s overwhelmed in justice. Terri Schiavo faces death and she never had anything beyond a few Judges hearing of the case in their chambers. The appeals went from judge to judge, why would we question the results. There’s a reason Terri Schiavo is being treated with such disregard, why she’s sentenced to die. If she were to have open hearings, it would prove the courts and the medical profession wrong for some 17 years. They both would rather see Terri die than admit 17 years of errors. Terri Schiavo will become a battle cry [an icon] for equal justice by the courts. These judges transcend political identities. There bias is judicial, they believe in the law right or wrong, guilt or innocence be damned. The law must be imposed, It’s time to say good by to Terri Schiavo. Her memory will be a beacon for all sane caring people everywhere. Terri in life and in death will awaken a nation to the ill’s of runaway courts. Terri may have one more time as so many times in the past sacrificed for a noble cause. I’m not a religious person aside from having God as my best friend. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Terry dies on Easter Sunday and Monday her spiritual crusade for justice begins. ------------ About the author: Ken Hughes is prone to an occasional grammatical error and an occasional misspelled word.
