Mar. 21, 2005 Are we going to have justice for Jessica Lunsford? If it was up to me we would. This murderer needs to be punished, but will he? John Evander Couey is forty-six years old, to me, he looks like he is in his late sixties. What this tells me is, this man abuses something, be it alcohol, or drugs. I do not know this as fact, I'm just stating my opinion. If I'm wrong, well, I'm wrong, I'm not sorry. He has admitted to killing Jessica, and should be punished. Will he go to jail? Yes, he will. But not in the general population, where some unsavory characters can get a hold of him, and do GOD knows what to him, but rather in a cell, away and protected from everyone else, while awaiting his fate. If it were up to me, I'd let him live in the population, and just see what happens. I know what will happen. This "thing", he's not a human being in my book, is evil, and should be dealt with in an appropriate manner. He murdered this beautiful young girl, when the only thing she should have worried about in her life was, which Barbie Doll she wanted next. When word came this morning,
(3/19/05) of the discovery of Jessica's body, I received a call from my Mother.
She was crying. She couldn't understand that someone could do this to a child.
All she thought of was her Grandchildren. And, without missing a beat, my Mother
went to see her Grandchildren, and did as Jessica's Father had requested
everyone do, my Mother kissed and hugged her girls, and told them that she loved
them. As for me, I'm going to see them, right now. Everyone please, protect you
children.
