June 29, 2005 Paul Reyes, I am appalled by the articles you've written regarding Natalee Holloway's disappearance. Furthermore, your racial insinuations are prehistoric and bigoted at best. Remarks like yours are one of many reasons for racial hatred experienced in the world. Natalee Holloway is getting national attention because the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are unusual. She was there on a "supervised" school trip. She wasn't out aimlessly walking the streets. Natalee disappeared because she met a nice looking, charismatic young man while on vacation, not because she's a white, blond American. Furthermore, I can't even believe you would suggest in so many words that she got what was coming to her because of how she was dressed! If that was the case, Mr. Reyes, the streets would be lined and piled high with the dead bodies of thousands of young girls dressed just like Natalee. I live in Chicago and at times I've seen hookers on the street wearing more clothes than some of the teenage girls I spot. How dare you blame this horrible nightmare on her clothes! Natalee Holloway was in the wrong place at the wrong time. By the way, Mr. Reyes, I did research the Tamika Houston case. She is a beautiful young woman with a captivating smile with her whole life ahead of her, but there are clues in her disappearance. It's quite apparent that her ex-boyfriend did something and knows something. How insane would it be to assume she deserved whatever it was that happened because she had tattoos? Some people consider tattoos trashy. No one deserves to be kidnapped or raped or killed or harmed in any way. Not one, single soul on earth. In Tamika Houston's case, the police have blood evidence; they have Tamika’s car and many more clues that can be answered. As with Lacy Peterson and Chandra Levy, there are no clues surrounding Natalee Holloway’s disappearance. No blood, not a strand of hair, no evidence of foul play...Nothing...Nada!!! These women vanished without a trace. I pray they find her and I pray they find Tamika Houston and every other missing person. I pray for closure for their families. And, I pray that you, Mr. Reyes, never experience the loss of a family member or someone close to you in this way with people such as you making comments such as yours. ------------ About the author Debe Welch: Visit www.debewelch.com or email: debe@debewelch.com Tell a friend about this site! ------------ All articles are EXCLUSIVE to Useless-Knowledge.com.
