I Watched The BTK Killer Discuss His Hideous Actions

By Stan Grimes
June 28, 2005

I had to change the channel today as I watched the BTK killer discuss his hideous actions like he was discussing the weather with some friends. The horrible nature and impact of his leisurely stroll through the lives and deaths of his victims is incomprehensible. He left so many victims behind. He boldly discussed how he hung a little girl and had sexual fantasies about her dead body. He arrogantly discussed how he took pictures of the various stages of bondage he created on a young female stabbing victim. He is a man that deserves the death sentence, but will he receive the ultimate cost of such crimes? No.

Because his murderous actions took place before 1994, when the death sentence was reinstated in Kansas, he will only receive life imprisonment. How fair is that? The son (now an adult) of one of the victims has suffered for years because of this thing (he is not really a human). He was the first of his siblings to discover his parents’ corpses. The man will never draw a normal breath for the rest of his life.

The question I must ask is, should the news media be allowed to give this “thing” a platform to stand upon and proudly state his case? Does the world and all the children in it need to hear this monster’s story? Charlie Manson was a wimp compared to this idiot. This worthless piece of dog manure should have a muzzle placed on his mouth and be tossed in a pen with some of his fellow pit bulls. Although, I don’t think the pit bulls even deserve such a fate. Perhaps a pit of vipers would be a more appropriate fate for this creature.

It’s a bitter pill we must swallow, the pill of reality. Reality tells us that we must be subjected to this kind of news. Why? Because we have no control over what is placed on the news. If we complain, our media moguls scream 1st Amendment rights. We worry about whether or not a picture of Moses holding a plaque of unreadable scribble should be carved on a courthouse façade. Shouldn’t we be worrying what is shoved down our throats on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, FOX, and the other sensation-seeking news media? Shouldn’t we be more worried about the mad animals walking our neighborhoods stalking our children, our daughters, and other family members? Something’s wrong here.
