Tom Cruise Needs To Chill

By Judy Ramsook
June 27, 2005

You jumped on Oprah’s furniture, had water squirted in your face, berated Matt Lauer of the Today Show during your discussion with him about Ritalin, criticised Brooke Shields for using antidepressants to battle postpartum depression, maybe it’s time Tom Cruise took a seat and chilled for a while.

Now anyone can understand wanting to let the world know about how elated you are about being head over heels in love with former Dawson’s Creek star, Katie Holmes, but jumping up and down on the set of Oprah’s show, I guess you made your statement.

And since a camera and microphone are shoved in your face practically everywhere you go, I can understand how easy it is to mistake a fake journalist for a real one, especially after being squirted in the face with water.

As for discussing any subject matter with someone, a discussion is just that. Not something you are supposed to become angry and worked up about, and if you find that the discussion is heading in that area, move on to something else.

In case you didn’t know, postpartum depression is a serious problem. Stop criticising one of the world’s most beautiful actresses, Brooke Shields, for treating the problem and while you’re at it take a breather and try to relax a bit.
