June 27, 2005 I agree pretty well with Keycee Nilson who writes in her article All You Really DO Need Is Love that all you do need IS love! This is why I often affirm that it’s important that each and every school child is loved as he or she finds, develops, and demonstrates the special love of his or her own life. As a teacher, confidante, and caregiver I myself have helped persons appreciate and concentrate on their own special love, devotion, and ability, even though their focus is unusual. This original specialness comes from within the person, both as a result of nature and as a result of nurture. Originality doesn't come through rote memory or through rationality. It comes through genetics and through the person's intuitive sense of feeling non-intimidated and able to explore the world inside as well as the world outside. Being sixty five years old, I know by now that many conservatives think my ideas sound pret-ty liberal and maybe even damnably heretical! For example, in his recent article Lunacy is on the Rise Matt Dillahunty has even written that I am “insane.” I answer Matt’s improvable charge by saying that before anyone JUDGES me insane or not, the critic should practice at least a year of yoga under a recognized Holy Teacher or guru. I’m not such a person. Furthermore, saying a yogi is insane without knowing a guru yourself is like saying mathematics is crazy without ever even knowing how to count numbers, add numbers, and subtract numbers. I intuit that Matt is just talking about a process and a phenomenon he simply has never practiced himself. This is why the man’s drowning in deep water and saying he is giving up communicating with me. He’s picked up his atheist gauntlet and thrown in the conversationalist’s towel. Matt writes at the end of his last article, "Lunacy is on the Rise"In any case, "I don't see any reason to continue or discussion." He inadvertently left out the “u” in the word “or.” I intuit that he meant “our,” not “or.” Consequently, to read Matt you will have to overlook his NONSENSICAL sentence and INTUIT Matt’s meaning! Your departure from strict rationality, however, will offend Matt because his idea of intelligence is pure reason and nothing but pure reason. A lot of academics fall into that trap of machine language. But as long as you stay INTUITIVE, PSYCHIC, and HUMAN, you will avoid falling into the academic AI trap. To the fanatical reasoners and the adolescent schoolmen it may seem “insane” to be intuitive, but being intuitive isn’t a dangerous insanity. Most all good problem-solvers are sometimes intuitive. Dear reader. Love addresses you now. Consider the evidence. True lovers often are non-rational and silly. True lovers don't call each other bad names. Alas and alack, however. I don't think Matt Dillahunty really loves me. I don't think Matt Dillahunty understands me. Furthermore, Matt wouldn't be calling me crazy in public if he had studied my professors’ letters of recommendation and talked with my professors. These professors are truly worthy of respect. They are still intuitive even though they have excelled in their school work. If they thought I was insane, there were hundreds of bright and respectable young intellectuals waiting to consult them! If these professors thought I was insane, they wouldn't have spent years visiting with me and reading my papers. Unlike Matt Dillahunty, true lovers don't insist on always being rational. A little hyperbole here and there is okay. Even so, love is serious business. True love perpetuates the human race. False love fools people, breaks up families, and wrecks lives. So far it seems to me that the key to understanding Matt Dillahunty is this LOVE that makes him so devoted and so sincere in his calling. Even though Matt talks as if God doesn't exist, when he is doing his special work, Matt is filled up with God! Matt’s God is what he is devoted to. Matt’s God is what he loves. Why? Because God IS Love. Or don’t you agree? The way out of this confusion is to conjecture that God isn't really Love at all. God is something else. If we ride on this train for awhile, we search for another definition of what so many people have sensed as The Holy. By carefully refining our language, we will gain power over our sense of The Holy and I think you agree that power is knowledge and knowledge IS power. So are you up to this research? And if you find the better definition of what is perceived to be The Holy, you will have knowledge and power that helps other people actually sense directly what the Canadian doctor Richard Maurice Bucke called the “subjective light” in his book entitled “Cosmic Consciousness.” If you stay at this work and continue strengthening each faculty in your brain, not just reason or some other limited faculty, you will help humanity move forward in evolution. Don’t shy away from further personal development. AQUARIUSThe Aquarian Center------------ About the author: John L.
