June 22, 2005 For possibly years, I've asked Christians the same question over, and over, and over. And never, ever, have I ever gotten an answer. The question is simple: If God is the creator of the Universe, and he created everything that exists, what created him? How did he exist before there was even existence? Since I don't claim to be an expert on religion, I would like to know the answer to this question from a Christian's point of view. I have an idea as to the answer, but it's still something that I would like to have more concrete knowledge of. I ask that anyone who has any answer to this question please, please, E-mail me your response. I want to get more than one Christian's take on this question, and since there are more than a couple Christians who actively post on UK, I don't think I should have too much trouble. As to where this question comes from. I have heard a number of logical arguments for the existence of God. People tell me that if there is creation, then there must be a creator, just like if there is a building, there must be a builder, or something like that, to which I promptly reply, if the creator made the creation, WHO MADE THE CREATOR? I've asked a number of people this and never, ever, have they ever even provided me with an answer, and so I've finally come to the conclusion, that, just maybe, they don't have an answer. They can't tell me what made God. That is why I come to you, the columnists and readers of UK to provide me, a humble 17-year-old, with just a little enlightenment. ------------ About the author: Jack Lepiarz is a student at Madison High School in Madison, New Jersey.
