Janet Jackson Recieves Award For Fundraising

By Robert Paul Reyes
June 20, 2005

Janet Jackson's star once burned brightly, she was the leading light in the galaxy of pop stars.

Janet Jackson no longer churns out hits like widgets on an assembly line, but she wisely uses her fame and good will to raise funds for AIDS research and other charities.

The pop diva recently received a fundraising prize from the gay rights group the Human Rights Campaign.

Michael Jackson once generated enough star power to light up a galaxy, but he has moonwalked his way into oblivion, however he can still do something productive with his fame.

Instead of wasting his time having sleepovers for little boys, he should follow in the footsteps of his sister and spend his time working for charitable groups.

Now that the King of Pop has been found not guilty of child molestation charges, he has a chance to redeem himself. He will probably never again receive any music awards, but I hope he will dedicate himself to good works and be rewarded with many awards from charitable groups.
