June 11, 2005 As much shame and disrepute the former impeached president, Willie Jeff Clinton brought upon the United States’ government; that was a walk in the park of impeachment compared to Clinton’s 1993 appointment of Ruth Bader Ginsberg to the Supreme Court. I read “Putting Judicial Nominees in Perspective, Part III’ by Edward Whelan (May 20). I thought his article was a pretty neat setup for the actual truth about the person he was writing of. But the gist of the article was the public positions staked out by a past nominee to the US Supreme Court that were to “the extreme left fringes of American society. Examples included: 1) ‘sympathy for the position that there is a constitutional right to prostitution” 2) [there is a] “constitutional right to polygamy.” 3) the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America “perpetuate stereotyped sex roles.” 4) Mother’s Day and Father’s Day should be abolished and replaced with “Parent’s Day”. 5) A recommendation for unisex prisons. 6) Must have “court ordered” racial quotas for companies that are racially imbalanced. Even though one would like to think someone with such extreme views would never sit on the Supreme Court to eventually formulate fiats to put such outrageous ideas into law; Ruth Bader Ginsberg sits on that court and has been able to walk over states rights to give us the constitutional rights to homosexual marriage and sodomy by allowing the “Defense of Marriage Act” to go largely ignored.. Extreme liberal ideas from a woman who had an office for 10 years in a predominately black area, yet, not one black employee among the 50 people she hired to work in that office. I believe that is called hypocrisy. Who recently said about the United States Government: “At this moment, it seems likely leviathan will continue to lumber along, picking up ballast and momentum, crushing everything in its path. Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates, and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible.” That quote is from a person who is also a nominee to a high court; the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. Her name is Janice Rogers Brown and she has been suffering a liberal Senate filibuster for two years simply because she is a conservative and understands that society flourishes when the hands of government aren’t in the pockets of the populace. She may slightly higher on the racial tolerance scale too. Did I mention she was black? Yes, the “White Christian Guy Party” nominated Judge Brown two years ago. In the spirit of racial tolerance and a desire to see a black person promoted into a higher level of judicial influence, the Party of the Ass blocked the nomination for only two years. They were trying for four, but again, in a spirit of racial tolerance and a desire to see a black person, and a woman, promoted, they cut a deal that still enabled Senate Democrats to slander Judge Brown for two days, before they finally acquiesced. This same period of filibuster and slander was not afforded the racially inept and liberal Ruth Ginsberg. Willie’s “Gal Pal” sailed into her seat because the “Christian White Guy Party” did not want to seem mean in blocking a white Jewish girl from the court.
