Deep Throat A Hero?

By Lee Zelhart
June 1, 2005

Some crazy old man came out of the woodwork and claimed to be Deep Throat. Remember Deep Throat? That was the source Woodward and Bernstein used to shoot down Nixon. They made Deep Throut a household name. A hero for the left.

Well, who said Deep Throat was a hero? Not me. He betrayed his trust, his job, and the oath he surely had to take to be in the position he was in to have been in on the information he claimed to know.

I have a brother- in- law who works for the government. You have to have a certain amount of personal integrity to do that. You have to pass security clearance. You have to know how to keep your mouth shut.
< br>The government doesn't want people running around blabbing what's going on. Yeah, I know that sounds bad, but do you really want to know what the government's up to? If so go work in a barn.

We don't like people knowing all our personal business. I don't think there's a person out there who wants everything about themselves known by the general public. We all have secrets.

Even I have done things(gasp)which I'd rather not talk about. We all do stupid things. Who among up is without sin? Nobody. How can you call a man a hero who betrays his trust. Especially if he has the trust of the President.

Richard Nixon might not have been the best President we've ever had, but if(as I contend)he'd been a Democrat he would never had to have left office. Need proof? Look at the last administration(Bill Clinton aka Slick Willie). There were all kind of scandels there.

As I said, Nixon might not have been the best president, but who got us out of Viet Nam? Nixon. That makes Nixon a hero. Nobody liked Viet Nam, right? What was the problem with that? Nothing.

Of course it doesn't matter. The left can't abide a successful conservative. It's not in the nature of the beast. I say take this old fart to task. He's not any more then a hero then Judas, or Benedict Arnold. Enough said. Semper Fi!
