July 28, 2005 A secret memo has come into my hands, from an unnamed source highly placed in the government. It reads as follows: THE OVAL OFFICE: WHITE HOUSE 7/27 TOP SECRET—EAT THIS AFTER READING! Hey, Karl! Nice going. I think that dirty trick of yours, getting Breyer and Stevens and Souter and Ginsberg drunk and then getting them to make that screwball Kelo decision about eminent domain was your best so far. It has angered quite a bit of the Democratic base, including lots of black folks. Heck, it even has Dennis Kucinich on our side! Did you see him up there ranting and railing against his own favorite liberal justices? It was right comical, weren’t it? And just when we are appointing new justices to the court. Would you believe that left-wing Democrats are now coming around to the realization that activist judges are downright dangerous to their constituents? Whether they really care, or whether the constituents are just getting to them is hard to say, but seeing conservatives and left-wing crazies decrying judicial activism and campaigning for more strict constructionism is just great, isn’t it? Heck, I gotta go now, but anyhow, keep up the good work. By the way, what’s your next scheme going to do? Maybe you can get Kerry to run again.
