July 27, 2005 In every direction I turn, I see a pot of crickets, and it doesn’t look good for America. Where should I start? With the Supreme Court? Hollywood? Washington D.C.? I’m not sure where to start, but perhaps with the Liberal Church. The Liberal Church, of so called Christians out there, is really a Democrat platform, it was created so the Christian Alliance can shove whatever liberalism over the Bible they wish. What does it believe in (I’m sure you can guess but I will tell you): same-sex marriage, abortion rights and embryonic stem cell research. Yes, yes, the same issues the Supreme Court cherishes. Who do they hate: Jerry Farwell, James Dobson, D. James Kennedy, Franklin Graham, and I could go on but I’m sure you got the picture? Yes, every corner they are on fits nicely into the Democratic agenda; no surprises. Hollywood, what are they not telling us? What a group of pigeons. If they keep Mr. Stone on the payroll, they will be broke this time next year. Tinsel town can’t figure it out. A Gallup Poll showed 48% of adults going to movies today, less often than in 2000. And (hang on there), something drastically changed between 2004 and 2005; now what could that be, they don’t want you to know. The box office did not do well, although $370 million was made by “The Passion,” so that should say something. They cater to the left, and they forgot, the majority right, won the presidency, but they insist on themes like Mr. Stones, “Alexander,” which was a flop, and a gay rights theme involved here. Plus he has that ugly anti-American statement, “I think America has to bleed. I think the corpses have to pile up. …” Has Hollywood forgotten who goes to the movies? After Church, people use to go to the movies, in l999. They try to mix these left-wing themes with left wing actors mixed with neutral actors, and that spoils the whole movie for the movie goer who dose not have them principles. If they think it doesn’t matter, they need simply to open their eyes up and look at the ticket sales; it does matter. It is called ‘values.’ Be stupid as you wish, and go broke for all I care. I would never see a Jane Fonda movie, or a Sean Penn movie, or anyone associated with them, or their kind; I threw out all of Clint Eastwoods movies in the trash. Call it what you will, but it is a way of protesting, and the right way, and evidently, there are a lot of folks like me doing the same thing. Think what you may, but entertainer activist are being looked at by the right, and shunning the cinema when Hollywood shoves these themes, values and creeps down our throats. This is simply conventional wisdom being ignored; and ideological considerations need to be looked at by the box office, before it collapses. The left is against gun control, and Hollywood plays to that tune; but take some time and review and see what states are for it, you will be surprised; the majority. I don’t’ mind Tom Cruise, and the movie War of the Worlds, was not as the book intended, nor the l953 version of the movie. It dramatically differs, which positively portrayed religion, but not the Modern Version. Spielberg’s version is atheist, and every Christian who goes to see it, knows it, but Hollywood still thinks they will drag the 48% back by shoving it down their throats, I don’t think so. Spielberg may become rich, but the bosses in Hollywood are under a strain. The Supreme Court, I’m well aware the Supreme Court is a sewer hole for the ungodly; it has been for a long time, and that such goofballs like Supreme Court Justices David Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and John Paul Stevens feel any religious symbol is unconstitutional; but let’s look at them: at the Library of Congress, there is a sculpture of Moses; as Moses is even at the U.S. Supreme Court. A stained glass of George Washington on his bended knees in prayer appears in the chapel of the U.S. Capitol. I’ve been to all these places, it is only hypocritical of the Supreme Court, they should start getting the wrecking crew into position to dismantle all these things if that is what they believe, and let’s see the American people pull them black robes off them coyotes. How about the National Archives, a depiction of the Ten Commandments resides on the floor; what are you going to do, tare up the floor now? And also the Liberty of Worship, statue rests on the Ten Commandments outside the Ronald Reagan Building. The Supreme Court does not see God as the safe keeper of our rights; rather they see themselves as god, doing the job. Liberty, Here is one that is being taken away: did you know the Court’s decision in Kelo v. New London, Connecticut gives the government power to seize private property and give it to another private entity for the mere purpose of making more money, they call it “Economic development in the community.” Thus, they have broadened the concept of ‘public use,’ to ‘economic use’” If you are poor, you are not in the economic circle to do much about it. Sleep well America, they are coming. ------------ About the author: Mr. Siluk is a world traveler, a lover of the mysteries around the world, and has visit many World Heritage Sites, his most recent being Easter Island, the Galapagos and Mesa Verde.
