July 14, 2005 Former Mexican Foreign minister Jorge Castaneda said "No border security is possible without Mexican cooperation" and "there can be no cooperation (from Mexico) without some form of immigration reform package." He said this to the Senate Foreign Relation Commitee. Reform means amnesty for all illegal Mexicans in the country, an additional 5 million immigrants over the next ten years, and massive increases in foreign aid to Mexico. In legal terms this is called blackmail. Unless we payoff Mexico's corrupt oligarchy with lots of money and allowing its migrants, vital to their economy, to flood into the states they wn't guard their side of the border. It's something they don't do now, and something they couldn't do if they wanted to. Mexico has said that it can't verify the identity of everyone with Mexican documentation. So smugglers, drug lords, violent criminals and possibly terrorists come into the U.S. through Mexico. And Mexico won't even pretend to care unless we give them all that they want. They get everything, we get empty promises. Instead of being furious at this ultimatium Senators sat meekl and allowed this threat to be issued. This shouldn't come as a surprise as most of the Senators belong to the open borders crowd, Republicans and Democrats alike. Our response should be swift and definite. We should stop turning a blind eye and patrol our border, with troops if need be. The Minutemen, patrolling a small section of the border, showed that illegal immigrants can be deterred. All aid should be stopped immediately. The money goes to the oligarchs, and stays there. This prevents economic reforms which causes the massive waves of illegal immigrants.
