July 7, 2005 Paul Kurtz has coined the word Eupraxophy which means (according to Wikipedia) "a nonreligious lifestance or worldview emphasizing the importance of living an ethical and exuberant life, and relying on rational methods such as logic, observation and science (rather than faith, mysticism or revelation) toward that end." Eupraxophy. Heck. That's too big a word for little kids to learn and so it's a vain hope. The word "GOD" is much easier for little kids to learn. Kurtz dreamed up the wrong word. Science knows that kids' brains grow fastest when they are youngest. Science knows why the words learned first pack the biggest punch. This makes one wonder why Mr. Kurtz flew in the face of science and chose such a big, long, complicated word. It looks like Kurtz wasn't really thinking about the consequence of his actions. By failing to think of all the consequences of his actions, this popular promoter of secular humanism didn't practice what secular humanism preaches. Little brains develop rapidly, and the littlest kids are learning the mostest and the fastest. An intelligent teacher gives GOD a name that little kids quickly learn, or just keeps the name GOD. Otherwise the children don't talk about GOD until they are much older and that kind of learning is relatively shallow. ------------ About the author: John L.
