Jan. 31, 2005 Iraq has become the final piece of a Shia triumvirate poised to wield major influence in the Middle East. The diameter regime change in Iraq has had a dramatic effect on the Shia rise to power in Iraq and threatens to put huge strains on America in regards to soldiers and funding. Iran has major influence over the Shia leaders in Iraq and multiple fundamentalist groups in Iraq as well. These multiple fundamentalist groups threaten to keep Iraq realizing true democracy and freedom. As Iran gets close to becoming a nuclear power, Iraq and its Shia majority leadership will realize more and more influence over nations and events in the Middle East. While Sadaam Hussein had to be removed the strategic diametric regime change from Sunni to Shia majority was implemented prematurely and too soon to prevent Iraq from becoming a haven for radical Islamic fundamentalist groups. By returning authority over to the Iraqi leadership before neutralizing and eliminating the Shia, Baathist and Al Qaeda fundamentalists, these groups have grown in size and influence in multiple regions of Iraq. The existence of these groups has spawned like minded fundamentalist groups in Iraq. While elections in Iraq are expected to be completed, the new democracy of Iraq will be under daily threat of insurgency attacks from multiple groups in multiple regions of Iraq. These problems will be exponentially increased upon any future Iraqi Shia leadership dissatisfaction in the future, as they have influence over a majority of the fundamentalist groups in Iraq including Al Qaeda, Shia, and various fundamentalist groups in Iraq. This will facilitate the request for American troops to remain in Iraq. It will be extremely expensive and costly to America to meet those requests with troops, equipment and funding, as Iran accelerates their plans to become a nuclear power and control a Shia Triumvirate power base in the Middle East. Iran, Syria and Iraq are in a position to realize a considerable amount of control and influence over Islamic nations in the Middle East. Syria and Iran give considerable support to radical Islamic fundamentalist operating in the Middle East. Iran and Syria became even more influential over these fundamentalist groups when the Iraqi leadership was given to a council with a Shia majority in a position to dominate events in a democratic Iraq. Iran is the strongest Shia nation in the Middle East and has already excercised considerable influence over the newly empowered Shia leadership in Iraq. <> This influence will continue to grow, as Iran is believed to be close to becoming a nuclear nation within three years if undeterred. As a nuclear nation with support from Russia and China, Iran will be the most powerful Islamic nation in the Middle East. While Pakistan is a nuclear nation that depends on Western support to prevent a coup by fundamentalist groups that are tied to Iran in one way or another, Iran has secured its internal leadership without western support and troops which makes Iran more appealing to most nations in the Middle East. As a nuclear nation Iran would supercede Pakistan as the most powerful nation militarily in the Middle East, as America will be expected to step in militarily in the case of a major coup attempt in Pakistan to prevent Islamic radicals from leading the nuclear nation. America is also expected to prevent Pakistan from being aggressive in the Middle East. Iran has long been an enemy of America and will become more aggressive as a nuclear nation with control over a Shia triumvirate and major influence over a global fundamentalist network. Groups like Hezbullah, Hamas and Al Qaeda are known to be allies of Iran. By prematurely giving authority to an Iraqi leadership with a Shia majority, America has found itself faced with the task of dealing with the reality that Iraq has become the final piece of a Shia triumvirate led by Iran. This reality has been reinforced by multiple fundamentalist groups who have become stronger under the new Iraqi leadership in its’ infancy stage. Iran, who is close to attaining nuclear weapons capabilities, has considerable influence over the Shia leadership and fundamentalist groups in Iraq and that will only increase under the cover of a democratic Iraq threatened daily by multiple fundamentalist groups. ------------ About the author: My name is Terrance Jones and I have two published books that will be available for purchase through Publish America in the next year.
